Honey Lavender Iced Latte

Honey Lavender Iced Latte

👨‍🍳 Chefy Tip: Heat the honey mixture low enough that it shimmers, don't let it move. Strain through a fine mesh — those buds become gritty if left in. Stir the latte after milk goes in, not before. 🍳 Chefy Tip: Brew the espresso last so it stays hot enough to cut through the cold — everything else can wait.

🧬 Food Science

Lavender contains linalool, a volatile aromatic oil that stimulates olfactory receptors and creates strong floral scent perception. Using culinary lavender matters — ornamental lavender varieties can release bitter compounds that make drinks taste soapy.

Pair It

🥂 Already a drink — pairs well with a buttery shortbread or vanilla scone.
🍽️ Serve alongside a lemon poppy seed muffin.
